Creating Lat Tightness On Take Out
Most lifters pay great attention to leg drive and tightness to the bar when taking the bar out of the rack which is great! However there is still a huge missing piece of the puzzle!
As that bar travels out of the rack you want to drag your shoulders down with it
Everyone has a lot of opportunity to get their upper backs tighter, put that bar in a better position, and cut range of motion by doing this!
I typically cue it as shoulder blades to hips or I tell a lifter to try to give themself a lat cramp by how hard they crunch down. This will make a profound difference in your bench as soon as you nail the concept
